Straightaway is a Portland-based purveyor of meticulously crafted, ready-to-drink cocktails and spritzers.

With the belief that everyone deserves an exquisitely made drink regardless of bartending skills or proximity to a good bar, Straightaway set out to perfect the art of the cocktail, paying respect to time-honored recipes without making concessions when it comes to craftsmanship.

We were tasked with building a brand identity from the ground up, including packaging for seven cocktails and a line of spritzers, as well as wayfinding and art moments for their SE Portland tasting room.

The arched wordmark and accompanying monogram are deliberately unstraightened and twisty to subtly embody the feeling one may experience while partaking in cocktails.

Exploring the classic yet often forgotten lore behind its signature cocktails, the brand identity celebrates each drink's characters, recipes, and origins. This concept serves as an enthusiastic guide to the history and tradition while bringing discovery and spirit to the party.

Inspired by luggage tags and old-world travel, the packaging system centers around a collection of colorful characters and objects

The result was a vibrant range of refreshments, packed with personality.

We also had the opportunity to extend the brand to their tasting room in SE Portland, solving for art moments, tasting trays, and signage.
