Wired Hotel, owned and operated by Cafe Company, Inc. in Japan, is the first of its kind in Tokyo: a community-based hotel that allows all levels of the creative class—from shared hostel rooms to Penthouse suites—to gather in one hub. They focused on involving the neighborhood craft community to help outfit their hotel, ultimately making a mutually beneficial relationship for all involved.
We offered strategic advice on the high-level brand decisions by performing a thorough brand audit of what their internal team had done to date, and then worked with them on executing some art moments and wayfinding signage based on those results before the hotel's spring 2017 opening. As part of the PR support, we gave interviews to relevant Japanese media, generated a Press Release and shot photos for a Press Kit to send out to an international audience, and shot, edited and produced our own short film to tell the story of the craftspeople and artists in Asakusa, Tokyo, that Wired is highlighting through their hotel.
